Since the beginning of the new year, Brazil has found a new way to begin rebuilding the
damages on the economy caused by the pandemic. Brazil is known worldwide for being a tropical
country, with vast supplies of vegetation, animals and wildlife; thankfully they have recently been
using to their economic advantage. Lately, this is exactly what they’ve been doing, as they regain
their economic stability in the beginning of the current year.
During the first four months of 2022, Brazil has fully taken advantage of these supplies as
they’ve become the main supplier of beef in the United States. In January, Brazil exported 45,400
tons of beef and in February 25,600, totaling 71,000 tons in just the first two months of the year,
surpassing usual countries that supply beef to the US, such as, Canada, New Zealand and
Australia. In the first two months of 2021, Brazil provided 7% of the beef imported to the USA,
this year, that percentage rose to 25%, according to the United States department of agriculture.
What Brazil is doing is precisely what they must do to make up for all the economic losses
they had during the pandemic, work to their advantage and rebuild what was lost. Exploiting
their natural resources is one of the most significant ways Brazil can prosper economically, and
they must continue to do so if they are to continue growing economically.
